The Gut in Ayurveda
In Ayurveda, the gut — Agni, the digestive fire — is considered the center of health. Recipes for maintaining the digestive system have a millennia-old tradition in Ayurvedic medicine. Triphala — the combination of Amla, Haritaki, and Bibhitaki — is one of the most classic Ayurvedic formulas and is described in the seminal texts of Ayurveda, including the Charaka Samhita and the Ashtanga Hridayam. Jiva Gut Cleanse follows this tradition and supplements it with other traditional botanicals to create a proprietary formula.
