At the heart of our philosophy is the 5,000-year-old Indian healing art of Ayurveda. It is based on the five elements of nature and the three doshas that are unique to each person. We work exclusively with renowned Ayurveda experts to transfer the holistic teachings to our products.
The Ayurvedic teachings aim to balance your natural body energies. If this is achieved, your physical and mental well-being will also increase. The basis for this is a mindful approach to yourself, your fellow human beings and nature. Balance and connection play a central role here.
People who live an Ayurvedic lifestyle tend to act more socially, sustainably and consciously. The fact that you feel healthier, more relaxed and energetic is a positive side effect that reconnects your body and mind.
In addition to being conscious about ourselves, we also consider it important to be conscious about our use of resources. That is why we act in a holistic, fair and climate-positive manner. Resource-saving production is particularly important to us. That is why our packaging materials do not have to travel long distances to reach us:
- Our tea tins are made in Landshut (Bavaria) at Klann Packaging made;
- The stone paper labels are mail printing printed in our neighboring town of Bünde (NRW);
- our shipping boxes made of recycled paper come from Ostrołęka (Poland)
- and the compostable shipping film made from potato starch comes from Middlesex (England).
We have carefully selected our European partners, just like our hand-picked tea. We share the same values and have built reliable partnerships. Through this collaboration, we can ensure a transparent supply chain with fewer CO2 emissions.
But we don't just want to compensate for CO2 emissions, we also support the construction of a biogas plant in India. It enables local people to cook without firewood and is deliberately aimed at ending the deforestation of the surrounding forests.
This is important to us because the resulting better air contributes to a healthier lifestyle. The organic fertilizer that is also produced in the biogas plant increases the families' crop yields.
In this way, we protect the environment and at the same time sustainably improve the quality of life. A win-win situation for everyone, which corresponds exactly to asmi's values.
We are all part of a community. We are aware of this and this is exactly how we want to live. That is why inclusion is a completely natural part of our company DNA.
We have consciously decided to Wertkreis gGmbH – an integrative workshop in Gütersloh – and to bottle our teas there.
The team there consists of 2,500 people with and without disabilities. Their motto "Diversity is our strength!" also reflects our values and we are proud and happy about our new cooperation partner. We look forward to a long-term collaboration.
